Category Visual Manager (Beauty & Fashion Accessories)

Responsible for the management and coordination of Beauty & Fashion Accessories visual merchandising projects. These include Seasonal and Brand specific Guidelines for store teams, Category planning and design of new stores, refurbishments, and Brand development. Based in our Head Office in Baker Street London, with travel to stores required.

Key Responsibilities include


  • To deliver Category seasonal guidelines and support all com’s that drive category focus and priorities.
  • Ensure awareness of category strategies, new products, ideal adjacencies, model store requirements and specific brand requirements
  • Work with Head of Visual Merchandising to ensure category activities are in keeping with the central remit


  • Work with the Store Development, Buyers and third parties to design and create the best fixtures for the product
  • Plan the layout of all new fixtures and agree the linear conversion and option density with Merchandising Department
  • Maintain critical paths for all projects
  • Sign off fixtures and layouts
  • Communicate the layout and use of all new fixtures to stores
  • Co-ordinate and plan the visual layouts for new stores
  • Train the new store team to be able to create and maintain each area
  • Communicate visual standards for each department via workshops, store visits and the maintenance of the SASH site

Maximise Sales & Profit

  • Support in-store Visual Teams and RVM’s by visiting the stores and identifying key actions for improvement
  • Assist in the set-up of road shows, product launches and press shows
  • Ensure projects are completed to agreed costs
  • Analyse performance of new fixtures and layouts recommending ideas to improve density
  • Liaise with Visual creative team identifying window product information, equipment required for merchandising or new requirements for propping
  • Maintain awareness of competitors promotions and visual standards
  • Seek feedback from stores and SSC colleagues regarding visual initiatives and fixtures
  • Undertake regular store visits to review current performance and identify opportunities to maximise sales  

Technical Skills Required

  • Experience of retail layouts, adjacencies and site locations
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Strong merchandising, visual and retail skills.
