Job Title:         Data Analyst  

Reporting to: Senior Data Science Manager

 

Role Purpose:

To provide diagnostic and predictive analysis on the performance of trade, operations, campaigns and events, and work with the business to embed the findings to support the short and long term profit growth of the business

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise statistical analytics techniques (predominantly within SQL and Excel) to interrogate and analyse transactional, operational and behavioural data to identify key business challenges and opportunities. Create easily understandable reports/reviews and partner with key stakeholders to support implementation of learnings.
  • Partner with the BI team to enhance the data model to support production of all regular reports (both existing and future) within Microstrategy  
  • Conduct performance analysis of key campaigns and promotions to identify lessons learnt and future opportunities for sales growth.
  • Partner with the relevant teams to create test plans and the accompanying audience segments to drive customers through the lifecycle.
  • Provide monthly metrics for the customer focused plan on a page KPIs.
  • Support adhoc analytics requests as required.

Skills and Experience Required:  

  • Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in a mathematically based field
  • Strong understanding of data analysis/numerical reporting
  • Advanced user of databases, data modelling, SQL, Excel, R - thorough, demonstrable knowledge of SQL and associated tools (essential)
  • Experience of manipulating large transactional data sets
  • Skills in database segmentation, regression and propensity modelling.
