We are looking an established People Business Partner to join our London based HR department on a 9 month FTC.

The principle accountability of this role is to partner with stakeholders to support the delivery of their functional people strategies that optimise business performance. The role ensures People priorities are delivered consistently and delivers the company purpose, strategy and commercial goals. This role executes the change approach for all people activities, with a heavy focus on culture change and has an instrumental role in driving a values-led high performance culture across the business.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership include:

  • Agree and implement people plans with stakeholders across the business
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders through effective planning, organisation, communication & influence to deliver results
  • Proactively advise and support stakeholders to effectively manage succession plans and profile, resource and recruit key appointments
  • Actively support the identification and development of talent  to support succession plans across the business including the provision of coaching as required.
  • Support the implementation of  process and behaviour change to provide positive leadership and a VIP experience to all customers
  • Provide commercial, pragmatic  advice and support to stakeholders on all Performance management and Employee relations issues
  • Support and coach, where appropriate, the development of business leaders and other roles responsible for People practises across the business
  • Support development and learning programmes as required and evaluate, monitor and embed the learning.
  • Supports the ER Team in the preparation of Tribunal responses and bundles
  • Participate in projects  and key business initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate people practises in the field. and make recommendations for improvement or modification
  • Maintain timely and effective communication with stakeholders and other people function colleagues across the business on relevant people and commercial issues
  • Act as the agent of Change, championing and supporting new Company initiative
  • Develop professional and effective working relationships at all levels, delivering the people plan in each allocated team
  • Influence stakeholders to implement cost effective, appropriate and pragmatic solutions to resolve people issues
  • Proactively identify people activities to support the business strategy
  • Work with the leadership teams to plan people activities at a functional level.  Identify areas which require focus and action and work with teams throughout the year to deliver this plan, involving any specialists as required (e.g Talent & Capability team).

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • Previous experience in People/HR Management in a generalist role inc. implementation of regulations and compliance
  • Experience of working in fast paced, high growth/volume, multi-channel customer focused organisations, ideally in consumer centric industries where technology constraints are a major factor in decision making
  • High commercial awareness/business acumen

  • Analytical approach and ability to simplify complex problems

  • Understanding of Store and Office people practices across all fields (HR, Recruitment, Engagement/Culture , Reward & Recognition, Payroll, Pensions and Talent)
  • Experience of continuously improving the people operational processes
  • Ability to manage Regional/Company wide projects
  • Competent facilitator and confident  working with groups
  • Able to deliver a wide range of management development interventions
  • Is proactive in planning to achieve targets and objectives which deliver profitable outcomes
  • Willingly takes the initiative and consistently does more than is required.
