Job Title:  SEO Executive

Reporting to: SEO Manager

Role Purpose: Supporting performance of the SEO channel and helping to develop the strategic direction for the channel in line with the overall digital marketing strategy. The SEO Executive will provide research and insight to direct the SEO tactics required to implement the strategy and be hands-on in many aspects of implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive SEO performance – support on the delivery of KPIs and metrics
  • Deliver SEO strategy – support SEO manager and Technical SEO Manager to deliver channel strategy
  • SEO roadmap – deliver specific roadmap items, individually or as a part of a project team
  • Task management – responsible for delivering tasks to drive channel performance
  • Stakeholder management – maintain and grow relationships with other teams across the business
  • Reporting – deliver timely and accurate channel level reports
  • Insight – highlight changes to performance, causality and opportunities within the channel
  • Team participation – work as an active member of the team to support SEO and wider team members
  • SEO positioning – understand and support trading, customer and digital marketing priorities through SEO activity
  • Best practice – stay abreast of wider industry developments

Experience Required:

  • Experience working with a site that derives its revenue through consumer traffic
  • Good understanding of traffic and conversion measurements, experience with interpreting such data and deriving insight
  • Experience with keyword research and strategy, content optimisation, in-depth analysis and reporting on business KPIs
  • Good knowledge of the latest best practice link and social share earning strategies, tactics and processes
  • Understanding of site architecture, able to leverage tools that analyse website taxonomy and provide recommendations
  • Understanding of key website usability and site design concepts, able to identify common SEO issues here
  • Experience with SEO tools including Search Console, rank checking/performance analysis tools, web analytics etc.
  • Excellent research, analysis and problem solving skills – proactively curious
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication, ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects work streams
  • Genuine passion for SEO and digital marketing
