Job Introduction

Role Purpose:
A back of house role responsible for providing stock handling and replenishment services to the store. Offering flexible cross functional support across all areas of the loading bay & back of house processes.

Main Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Looking after the maintenance aspects of the shop
  • Dealing with any onsite contractors and workmen
  • Opening the store at 6am as and when required
  • Helping with shop fits and moving heavy fixtures
  • Dealing with any deliveries that come into store
  • Pre retailing stock, tagging and packing
  • Maintains stockroom standards and actively promotes a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensures that all products are delivered to the correct departments and merchandise is receipted
  • Maintains accurate and robust stock receipt & despatch procedures and systems, and complies consistently with all loss prevention procedures relating to the movement of stock external and internal to the store, including ticketing and tagging
  • Exploits all opportunities to maximise profitability and minimise loss, to meet all agreed deadlines and comply with policies and procedures
  • Building excellent relationships with internal and external customers, importantly drivers, contractors & the NDC
  • Supports and communicates with line managers, operational/financial areas of the business to establish best working practices
  • Works effectively with all team members within the store and helps store with induction and training

Skills and Experiences required:

  • Relevant Retail operations experience
  • Familiar working in a stockroom environment adhering to Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Experience of working in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
